Mrs. Connie Cowan
Grade 4/5 Teacher I received my initial teacher training in a program via Simon Fraser University. After teaching for several years, I decided I wanted to specialize in Special Education. I went on to get my Master of Education degree through the University of Northern British Columbia.
This will be my 21st year teaching, I've taught grades 7, 8 and 9 as well as served as a Learning Assistance Teacher in School District 59. I moved to Kamloops 9 years ago with my family. For the past 9 years, I taught the Intermediate Development Program at A.E. Perry Elementary. Although I will continue working in the area of special education within my class, I look forward to also working back in a regular stream classroom setting. I truly enjoy working with kids of all ages, abilities, and skill levels. Professional Development is extremely important to me as a life-long learner . I am always striving to find new strategies, new insights or develop my skills in order to be the best teacher I can be. |
